AI: Pakistan's Ticket to Trillions? Experts Say It's Time to Embrace the Future

Pakistani experts and academics are raising their voices, urging the nation to leverage the power of artificial intelligence (AI) for economic growth and export boom. They envision a future where AI, estimated to inject trillions into the global economy, becomes Pakistan's golden ticket to prosperity.

Speaking at a recent AI seminar, Yasar Ayaz, chairman of the National Center of Artificial Intelligence, declared AI the "main technology spearheading advancement" for the past decade and a half. He emphasized its pervasive presence in various sectors, from social media to banking tools.

Ayaz paints a compelling picture of AI's economic potential, highlighting its ability to generate billions in revenue. He asserts that AI "is the only technology driving economic development" in today's "human and robot society" era. He adds that Pakistani entrepreneurs and international giants are recognizing this potential, with AI-related businesses sprouting across the country.

Syed Mohammad Anwar, former deputy attorney general, joins the chorus, calling AI the "technology of the real world." He stresses the importance of information collection, the backbone of AI, and urges Pakistan to seize the opportunity to boost its IT exports and tap into the billion-dollar global AI market.

However, Anwar acknowledges the potential pitfalls of AI, emphasizing the need for critical thinking and information verification when consuming AI-generated content. He advocates for developing mental filters to scrutinize information with a discerning eye.
